Why we chose to Build
The Teapot in Downtown PHX.

It all started with an idea.  Open a restaurant that caters to children as well as adults. Kids can come play in our two story playhouse, while the parents get to sip on drinks and eat good food.  It was something both Jon and Raelynn felt a need for, something we felt lacking in America. Building The Teapot in Downtown Phoenix felt like the best place to start. Downtown Phoenix is one of our favorite cities, Jon being from London and Rae an Arizona Native, have done much traveling but have always called downtown phoenix their home. There is a strong entrepreneur spirit in phoenix,  which is inspiring, Downtown Phoenix is very up and coming still trying to find its identity, but we found it was the best place to start our new concept as it was something that was missing in the valley.

The whole concept of The Teapot was inspired by our then 2 year old son Leyland. After starting our family we quickly discovered the lack there of places who were truly family friendly. We would try and go out to eat with our son but it always felt so rushed, and really Leyland (our son) could not just sit at the table for 2 hours, he needed to run! So The Teapot is a truly family friendly restaurant, you can come and eat/drink with your whole family and your little ones will feel right at home as they have their own playhouse in the back garden as well as many kid friendly menu options.   Also a big selling point of us choosing this location is it is a perfect place to host an event. We strive to offer monthly even weekly events in our space, both for adults and kids, such as flower crown classes, gingerbread house building, to our very popular Camp Teapot. But you can also rent the space for your own party, inside the house has lovely historic double sliding doors which you can close for a private back garden experience, or book the whole property for a classy party equip with an espresso bar.

We built The Teapot in a renovated 1906 home one of the oldest in the valley, we always viewed the space as being for adults aka beautiful space and homey neighborhood feel, but with kids in mind. The space is open so stroller moms can easily navigate their way back, but inside is charming and well decorated with lots of natural light. The Teapot in also on 5th Ave which is a one way street and has a bike lane that extends all the way to into downtown. This was a big selling point to us as it kept are street quite, and also encouraged people to ride their bikes in.

Even if your not a family you can truly appreciate it. Hope you'll come play soon!
